The research was conducted at the wet Labotatory of the Faculty of Fisheries, Universitas 45 Mataram, using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three type of rearing media: clean water (P1), mud (P2), and sand (P3), each with four replications. The observed parameters included specific growth rate (SGR), specific length growth rate (SLGR), survival rate (SR), feed conversion ratio (FCR), and water quality (temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and ammonia). The analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that rearing media had a significant effect on SGR and SR (α < 0,05), but not on SLGR (α > 0.05). the best (lowest) FCR was recorded in the mud (1.85), while the highest was in the clean water media (2.23). water quality during the study remained within acceptable ranges for monopterus albus, with temperature ranging from 25-270C, pH 6.5-7.3, dissolved oxygen 4.65-6.2 mg/L. based on the result, mud (P2) is considered the most optimal rearing medium, as it closely resemble the natural habitat of Monopterus albus.</em></p>2025-09-03T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Kuratun Aeni, Aminullah Aminullah, Luh Gede Sumahiradewi http://jurnal.yalamqa.com/index.php/gara/article/view/374PENGARUH PERBEDAAN SALINITAS TERHADAP MOLTING KEPITING BAKAU (SCYLLA SERRATA)2025-09-03T05:51:55+07:00Tadora kinanggitadorakinanggi75@gmail.comAminullah Aminullahaminullahmtk@gmail.comNi Kadek Puji Astutitadorakinanggi75@gmail.com<p><em>Mud crab (Scylla serrata) is a high-value fishery commodity with promising aquaculture prospect. Moling (shedding of the shell) is a crucial physiological prosess for crab growth, and its rate is strongly influenced by environmental factors, particulary salinity, whicth plays a role in maintaining the organism’s osmotic balance. This study aimed to determine the effect of different salinity levels on the molting percentage, survival rate (SR), feed conversion ratio (FCR), and absolute weight gain of mud crabs. The research was conducted for 30 days at the Wet Laboratory of the faculty of Fisheries, University 45 Mataram, using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three salinity treatments: P1 (10 ppt), P2 (15 ppt), and P3 (20 ppt), each with four replications. The observed parameters included molting percentage, survival rate, FCR, and absolute weight gain. The results showed that differences in salinity did not have signivicant effecton all obsolute parameters. However, 10 ppt salinity (P1) showed the highest molting percentage of 62.5%, indicating that lower salinity increases the molting percentage in mud crabs. The highest absolute weight gain was also found in the 10 ppt salinity treatment (P1) reaching 18.14 grams, indicating an environment that supports crab growth. However, the highest FCR (6.97) was recorded at 20 ppt salinity (P3).</em></p>2025-09-03T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Tadora kinanggi, Aminullah Aminullah, Ni Kadek Puji Astuti
