A Criminological Study Of Homosexual Offences Committed By Minors (A Study At The East Lombok Police Regency)

Abstract

The community of Suralaga Village, East Lombok Regency, was shocked by the circulation of a video of two teenage boys suspected of committing homosexual acts. In the 59-second video, the two teenagers were seen making out, so this study aims to determine the factors that children commit homosexual acts and law enforcement for homosexual perpetrators at the East Lombok Police Station. Using empirical normative research methods and supported by several approaches such as: conceptual approach, legislation, and case approach. From the results of research in the field, researchers found several factors causing minors to commit homosexual acts, namely environmental factors, smartphones, weak faith and habit factors. The results of the research that researchers obtained in the field were two law enforcement efforts carried out by the East Lombok Police Station, namely the Penal Path and the non-penal path. And it has been completed by taking the non-penal path, by conducting diversion, with the result that the two perpetrators were released on consideration, the perpetrators still have the status of minors who are studying, and the actions they committed were not found to have any criminal elements, because the actions have not been specifically regulated in criminal law.
